JOIN US IN THE FIGHT TO ERADICATE EXTREME POVERTY: BUY TO GIVE
Every day, more than 26,000 children die from poverty related illnesses. Each one has a name, a face, and a family that loves them. The mission of Millennium Promise is to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) - eight globally endorsed objectives that address the many aspects of extreme poverty - in Africa by 2015. Our “Buy to Give” initiative is designed to give a percentage of every product sold on Kidzmed.com directly to Millennium Promise to help achieve the MDG’s while also helping save a life. Take a look at the videos below to see how can go a long way to helping children and their families who suffer from hunger and disease.
What if your country, state, town or city were severely affected by tragedy? Wouldn’t you want (and need) others around the world to help you and your family? It doesn’t take much to help - the more help we have, the more we’ll be able to help innocent people who don’t have a way out. We welcome you to please join us in the fight to eradicate extreme poverty. For more information on Millennium Promise’s mission and progress, visit them at www.millenniumpromise.org.

We received word from a Health Coordinator on the response to the Thermfocus in the villages.
“Thanks to the donors of the thermometers. This is a unique thermometer since the device does not have to touch the body before registering the reading. This makes it child friendly. Unlike other thermometers, children do not struggle with service providers. It is sharp and accurate. Other thermometers need to be replaced regularly because they fall and break frequently, BUT this does not. It helps reduce patients' waiting time. The battery is readily available locally. We have not used them for long, BUT so far we have not received any complaints from users. Users have very high recommendation about the thermometer. The only issue is about its reading in degree Fahrenheit instead of degree Celsius. Users have to do the conversion. Those of us using degree celsius will prefer thermometers having degree celsius reading.
Thanks, Eric Akosah
The thermometer does have a celcius setting, and we were able to send Eric directions on how to set the thermometer to celcius instead of fahrenheit.
